Services

Johnejack CN Code Services provides a full range of pre-certification, certification, and support services, as shown below.

Approach

My approach is client-driven, regardless of mining, transportation, or production auditing.  It begins with a conversation regarding scope, schedule, and cost.  Based on a formal Request for Proposal or an informal discussion, I then submit a proposal to the client, and revise it until it meets the client’s needs.

The scope of work is fixed for formal audit services, such as pre-operational and certification audits, as well as for corrective action planning and completion reporting. The steps and timeline for typical formal audit are shown to the right.  Assuming an operation has properly prepared for an audit, the overall duration of approximately 9 to 10 months for the entire process can vary depending on the client’s needs and the size and complexity of the operation.

However, there is considerable flexibility for other informal services to develop a scope of work tailored to the client’s schedule and cost expectations:

    • Some or all cyanide facilities

    • Some or all Code Standards of Practice

    • Conducted by auditor or by client with auditor review

    • Remote or onsite

    • Information sources

      • Review of consignor evaluations or

      • Transporter presentations or

      • Publicly-available information (e.g., websites)

    • A Code-compliant review is the same as a formal audit with exit from the ICMI upon acceptance of the final reports

    • A Code-consistent review is informal and allows an operation to state it has decommissioned its cyanide facilities in a manner consistent with the Code, as reviewed by a pre-certified auditor

      • Requires review of decontamination data

      • May require site visit

      • Deliverable is a report

    • Some or all Code Standards of Practice

    • Remote or onsite, or a combination of the two

    • Complete report, abbreviated report, or closeout presention

    • Option of converting a gap audit to a formal certification audit if results are favorable

    • Some or all Code Standards of Practice

    • Remote or onsite

    • Short (a day) or long (several days)

    • Consecutive days or a regular schedule over time

    • On-call consultation between formal audits

    • Organizational strategies for efficient compliance

    • Signatory and certification process

Pricing

Pricing depends on the type of audit or service and is estimated based on an agree-upon scope of work and estimated travel costs. As an entrepeneur, however, I am willing to negotiate a discount for portfolios of sites or services.
